Southern Deaf Fellowship
was organized as the first Deaf Church of
Seventh-day Adventist on April 9, 2005. Deaf Pastor Jeff Jordan was
called to start a Deaf church in the Atlanta area in 1997. The needs
have changed to reach more Deaf members who are isolated across the
Southern Union: North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky,
Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Georgia. The idea of an internet
based ministry was developed out of this need to reach the many Deaf
who desire to receive God's word in their native language, American
Sign Language.
The website will implement current use of technology to meet the
changing needs of our church area wide. Currently you may watch
sermons in ASL. In the future we envision more interactive parts
to
the website. So, check back often to view what changes have been
made.
You are invited to come and grow with us as we continue this journey
together on-line!
If you are planning to travel near or live close to the Chattanooga
area,
you are invited to worship with us on the campus of the McDonald Road SDA
Church. We meet at 10:00 am for Sabbath School and worship service at
11:15 am every Saturday morning.
