Florida Deaf Ministry was created by a group of young deaf Seventh Day Adventists in the Orlando area for the purpose of worship and socialization. We meet twice a month, usually the second and fourt Sabbath in Kress Memorial Church in Winter Park, FL. Services are provided in ASL.

We begin with a multimedia presentation of the Sabbath School lesson with rich images to emphasize the key points. The Second service is streammed live from SDF in Chatanooga, TN. Deaf Pastor Jeff Jordan preaches his sermons in sign language with Powerpoint slides. His sermons are streamed live on the internet every Sabbath. Thanks to the generosity of Kress Memorial Church we are able to connect our equipment to the internet and project the service in a big screen . After the second service, we enjoy potluck and fellowship. Occacionally, some of our members go to a park to enjoy nature, chat and witness. We also bring the kids so they can play.

The idea was born with a dream that one day all members of the Seventh Day Adventist church in Central Florida who are deaf or Hard of Hearing will come together to worship and socialize. We are open to all; deaf, friends, and family members, whether SDA or not, who are isolated and looking for friendship and to be close to our Lord Jesus Christ. Hearing friends are also welcome to fellowship with us. The second service is voice interpreted, you can learn sign language and practice signing with us.

If you are deaf, family or a friend and would like to join us for worship, socialization, and to share a meal, please check our calendar for more information and come to our meetings. You will leave richly blessed!
